GIO launches Medicontur at AIOC 2022
During the 80th Annual Conference of the All India Ophthalmological Society #AIOS2022, Geuder India Ophthalmics (GIO) announced the soft launch of Medicontur lenses in India. As the authorized importer and distributor, GIO will support Medicontur to expand in the Indian IOL market.
India has a particular place in the global ophthalmology map. The world’s second most populous country has more than 12 million blind people. Ophthalmologists perform more than 700,000 phacoemulsifications and 170,000 vitrectomies annually. In order to meet this huge requirement, a large number of competent ophthalmologists as well as excellent ophthalmic equipment must be available.
